Remix It’s Carrboro

Can you make a beat better than me? (Randy seems to think so.) Can you rap better than Billy or me? It’s Carrboro is released under the least restrictive Creative Commons license, so you can do pretty much whatever you want with the song. This mother is 95 bpm, yo, get on it!

  • Full Version - The song you’ve all heard and are beginning to tire of. I should include this just in case you are a first time visitor to the site.
  • Instrumental - no human voices at all. Make a rap about your own home-town!  I’d love to hear this!
  • Instrumental with chorus - no rapping present, but the “it’s carrboro” refrain is on there. This is probably the best if you wish to perform the song yourself.
  • A capella - the scariest of them all. Just Bill and me; no beat. There is silence at the beginning of the song where the music should go.

Put a link to your remix in the comments!

Hey guys, I freakin’ love the track. I should be studying for exams and whatnot, but I remixed It’s Carrboro instead.
I put it over at http://www.myspace.com/erichirsh with all the appropriate attributions

Enjoy, and let me know if you dig it!
Good luck with the shoot at Wilson Park on Sunday,

eric

Early adopters! Awesome job, Randy and Eric!

Randy forgot to put a link to the song. Randy is too handsome to be bothered with such details.

[…] These guys are so cool they have even released the song under a Creative Commons license and posted instrumental and vocal only versions for remixing. I’m proud to say that OrangePolitics is a sponsor of It’s Carrboro. […]
